KPV (Lys-Pro-Val) is a tripeptide corresponding to the C-terminal sequence of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (Ξ±-MSH). Despite lacking melanocortin receptor binding activity, KPV retains potent anti-inflammatory properties through inhibition of NF-ΞΊB nuclear translocation.
